Detecta Language Agency is currently recruiting native Italian speakers with a Florentine accent for a large-scale speech data collection project. The purpose of this project is to collect and standardize 500 hours of full-duplex natural Italian conversations to support artificial intelligence and speech recognition technologies.

Participants will engage in natural two-person conversations and record audio using professional recording equipment in a quiet indoor environment.

⚠️ Important: Online participation is not supported. Recording must be conducted using professional sound card and high-fidelity microphone equipment.

Project Requirements
• Language: Italian (Florentine Accent Preferred)
• Location: Italy
• Total Data Volume: 500 Hours
• Participants Required: 750+ speakers
• Age Range: 18–60 years
• Gender Ratio: Male/Female approximately 1:1 (±5%)
• Recording Type: Two-person natural dialogue
• Recording Environment: Quiet indoor environment with background noise below 50dB

Recording Specifications
Recording must follow the required technical standards:

• Sound Card Recording: 48kHz, 32-bit, mono
• Mobile Recording: 24kHz, 16-bit, mono
• Equipment Required:
– Sound Card (e.g., Focusrite 2i2)
– High-fidelity microphone
– Mobile phone for far-field recording

Each recording group will produce three synchronized audio tracks:

1. Speaker A audio track
2. Speaker B audio track
3. Reference stereo track for alignment

Conversation Guidelines
• Conversations must be natural and spontaneous
• Speakers select topics from a provided topic list
• Script reading is not allowed
• Natural interruptions and overlapping speech are acceptable
• Content should avoid political, violent, or sensitive topics

Each conversation segment must:

• Be at least 5 minutes
• Not exceed 30 minutes per segment
• Total recording per group must not exceed 2 hours

Eligibility
Both experienced professionals and fresh native Italian speakers with a Florentine accent are eligible to apply for this project.
