Detecta Language Agency is currently seeking professional recording teams and native European Portuguese speakers based in Portugal for a large-scale full-duplex speech data collection project.

The objective of this project is to collect 500 hours of high-quality, natural Portuguese (EU) conversational audio to support advanced AI and speech recognition technologies.

Participants will engage in natural, free-flowing two-person conversations based on provided topic guidelines. Each session will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

This is an offline, face-to-face recording project, requiring professional recording setups. Service providers are expected to manage participant coordination, equipment setup, and recording execution.

All recordings must be conducted in quiet indoor environments with minimal background noise and echo to ensure high-quality audio standards.

Project Requirements

• Native European Portuguese speakers (Portugal-based)
• Total participants: Approximately 325
• Age range: 18 to 60 years
• Both male and female participants required
• Ability to engage in natural, unscripted conversations

Technical Requirements (For Teams / Vendors)

• Professional microphones and audio interfaces (sound cards)
• Capability to conduct recordings in three separate rooms simultaneously
• Prior experience in offline data collection preferred
• Responsibility to provide and manage all recording equipment
• Ensure acoustically controlled environments (low noise, no reverberation)
