Detecta Language Agency is currently recruiting native Spanish (Spain) speakers for a large-scale speech data collection project. The objective of this project is to collect and standardize 500 hours of natural full-duplex Spanish conversations to support artificial intelligence and speech recognition technologies.
Participants will engage in natural two-person conversations and record audio in a quiet indoor environment using approved recording tools. Conversations should be spontaneous and natural rather than scripted or read.
Project Requirements
• Language: Native Spanish (Spain)
• Location: Spain
• Age Range: 18–60 years
• Participants Required: 750+ speakers
• Gender Ratio: Male/Female approximately 1:1 (±5%)
• Recording Type: Two-person natural dialogue
• Recording Environment: Quiet indoor location without echo
• Conversation Duration: 5–30 minutes per segment
• Maximum Recording Duration per group: Up to 2 hours
Recording Specifications
Audio recordings must meet the following technical standards:
• Sound card recording: 48kHz, 32-bit, mono
• Mobile recording: 24kHz, 16-bit, mono
Each conversation recording produces three audio files:
- Speaker A audio track
- Speaker B audio track
- Stereo reference file for alignment
Both speaker tracks must be perfectly synchronized and represent a natural conversation.
Conversation Guidelines
• Conversations must be natural and spontaneous
• Speakers choose topics from a provided topic list
• Script reading is not allowed
• Natural interruptions and overlaps are acceptable
• Sensitive topics such as politics, violence, or explicit content should be avoided.
Eligibility
Both experienced professionals and fresh native Spanish speakers from Spain are eligible to apply for this project.
